WORD FORMATION  DICTIANARY USE WORD FORMATION   This is the process of words forming new wotds are formed through the following process  In English there are three 3 major word formation process , Three process ara include; Affixation Conversion Compounding   While the minor word formation processes include: Blends Clipping Acronyms Borrowing Reduplicative AFFIXATION  Is the process og word formation where by an offix (bound morpheme) is added to base change of word clause    An Affixis is usually a bound morpheme which is added to the root or base (ie is a unit that is added to the base , which change the meaning ot function of word).  An Affix can preced the base 

MORPHOLOGY

 This is a study dealing with structure of words. Is study of structure and function of the minimal meaningful unit of utterence and they combine to form words MORPHEME Is a minimal grammatical form which can not be father broken down into any more grammatics structure (parts). or Is the smallest meaningfull unit of word that can not  be segmented.  For example the English waord "kind" is a morpheme which is only one morpheme   ALLOMORPH Is a variant of morpheme is different form of morpheme .Example   Plural morpheme (s) has a number of phonological variant depending on the environment in which it appears as : Negative morphemes : which stand for "not" as un has its variants depending on the situation of waords through which it occurs .Example  Zero Allomorph is the situation where by wods does not take s for plural eg sneep=sleep Good luck

 What is phonology? Is the study of the sound system of the language   What is Phonetic? The science of speech sound especially of their  production .transmission and reception (a coustic /articulatory and auditory phonetics)   In all language we speak with air that we breath. We take it in our lungs quickly and we rrleased it slowly  and then interfere it passage in various place to produce sound  A sound is made by difinite movement of the speech organs and if these movements are exactly repeated the result will be the same sound.
